BUILDING INTERNATIONAL BRIDGES TO IMPROVE SENIOR CARE LOCALLY

RESOLVING CAREGIVING STRUGGLES IN THE HOMES OF THE COMMUNITY

21 December 2024; a KAIGO Awareness Program was conducted to educate the Perak Community at PPR Jalan Hospital with basic caregiving knowledge.

YB Sandrea Ng together with MASOC CARE showcased multiple consequences that could affect the livelihood of the elderly in a home that does not have basic caregiving knowledge. ​
INTRODUCING SENIOR CARE OPPORTUNITIES IN GOPENG

7 April 2023; YB Tan Kar Hing initiated a senior care outreach program together with MASOC CARE to educate students, parents and family members on future senior care opportunities.

24 January 2022; YB Wong May Ing launched Malaysia's first SKM Level III Government Certified Caregiving Training Program together with MASOC CARE in Perak.

This historical moment marks a significant step in our association's efforts towards professionalizing caregiving professions and raising senior care standards in Malaysia.
​
Since then, we have had multiple batches of SKM Level III Graduates who have gone on to serve the senior care industry in many ways. ​
ENRICHING THE COMMUNITY WITH SENIOR CARE PROGRAMS

21 December 2024; YB Wong Chai Yi kickstarted a Senior Care Awareness Program in Simpang Pulai to showcase the importance of caregiving knowledge in supporting the overall wellbeing of family members at home.

Our aim is to ignite interest among this community towards enrolling for official caregiving training so that as family members in an ageing society, they are more equipped to practice the principle of "prevention is better than cure".
